About
I constantly challenge myself to solve complex problems and to drive cross-functional teams in dynamic environments.
Academically trained as an interaction designer and visual communicator focusing on user experience (UX) research and product design. Currently, based in London and work as a design team lead for Adthena, helping companies improve their performance in Google search. I also enjoy to sample a glass of wine or two, illustrate, read, and swim (though not at the same time). View my CV
UX Process
“If I had only one hour to solve a problem, I would spend up to two-third of that hour in attempting to define what the problem is.” — Matthew Wakeman from the book UX Research - Practical Techniques for Designing Better Products.
Research: Define the problem first. Understand the issues and the objectives before working on it.
Analysis: confirm that the most important assumptions being made are valid. Create a strategy and draw a plan for the design based on the data collected during the Research phase.
Design: Explore multiple possible design solutions. The premise of the Design phase is to put ideas in front of users, stakeholders or PMs (for example), get their feedback, refine them, and repeat.
Prototype & Test: Create a high-fidelity version of the product. Then, run a usability test for the purpose of learning how usable that design actually is.
Production: specify the look, feel, and behaviour of the design. The role of the UX Designer shifts from creating and validating ideas to collaborating with developers to guide and champion the vision.
Evolve: Continue to track the performance of the designed solution by collecting user feedback. Beta releases and outcomes can be evaluated and priorities adjusted accordingly.
